Jeanne and Phil's Redneck Wedding Blog
Jeanne and Phil were married on CMT's My Big Redneck Wedding. They share their experiences of the big day.
Jeanne's Blog
What can I say about my wedding - well I will say it was the most perfect day of my life!! I started planning my wedding 9 months before the date and thought I had everything under control. All our friends kept telling us to contact CMT's My Big Redneck Wedding. Well we did and I am so glad we did. From the panic of getting our dance floor done, to learning how to drive my tractor, to getting the food done - WOW what a rush!! Phil did get the floor done and I did learn to drive my Tractor and of course the food was great! I not only learned how to drive my Tractor - I beat Phil in the Tractor Tug-of-War!!! (well with a little help from my friends of course). I had my friends and family with me for this special day that I got to marry my BEST FRIEND!! I continue to look forward to making more memories with him. All the cameras are gone and the hustle bustle is slowing down but one thing remains - Our Love for Each Other continues to grow every day!!
Phil's Blog
It took me 46 years to fall in love and WOW what a feeling! I promised Jeanne I would get things done for the wedding day - the dance floor, the tractors, the tables and chairs - and I did it! I wanted everything to be PERFECT for her and it was. Our wedding simply showed our family and friends just who we are together. Jeanne asked me what I thought when I saw her girls walking down the aisle - I had to be honest and tell her - I didn't see them - I saw her waiting and that was all I focused on and I told the minister - "I ain't running." I thought I said that quietly so only he and I could hear, but apparently not because everyone heard me. I was so happy when Jeanne said she wanted to learn to drive a tractor - I couldn't believe it. So, I started teaching her. We practiced a little and then came up with the idea of pulling the ugly shed down for pulling practice. She was nervous but climbed up on the tractor and gave it her all. I had never seen anyone pull such a high wheel stand as she did that day! I still didn't think I had to worry about the Tug-of-War we were planning for the wedding day because I knew I had the experience and she would probably be nervous again. Well little did I know, she was gonna beat me in front of everyone (and as she said with a little help from our friends - Thanks Guys!!!). I've never been beat that bad by a girl in my life - but it was sure worth it!!

dearest jeanne and phil…WOW it was a perfect day all around. Thank you so much for allowing me(and Dave, of course) to be apart of this special day! although having the cameras there was a pain sometimes, it was worth it! I had my 3 seconds of fame, but have a mountain of memories. The show was great… thank you CMT for allowing my son( who is davy. jr) the experience of assisting as a PA for the day…He LOVED IT!!plus he met alot of wonderful people who gave good advice for his future in film production. My husband dave enjoyed it too! He got his 10sec of fame and boy did we tease him about that…. Jeanne and phil I hope you have a wonderful life together, cherish each day and i hope to remain in that “close circle of friends” forever!!! hugs/kisses

What a great show! I’ve always wondered if these shows were fake or scripted, but after seeing how CMT caught the true Jeanne and Phil, I now know they are truely “Reality TV” (or at least this one is). You two are great for each other and I can see how happy you make each other. I know there will be plenty of anniversaries to come!

Jeannie and Phil,
Well, Well, Well! First, thank you so much for choosing Charlie to marry you. I feel he was the perfect fit. You two made us feel like we were part of the family from day one. We would like to thank all that were involved as well, The Pink Sneaker Production Team, Dave Conrad from WFRE, attendants and guest; everyone was so nice and made us feel at home. Phil your parents are awesome! They are truly a couple to inspire by. Don’t tell mom, but if your dad and I were not hitched, he truly would be a good catch, hehehehe, just kidding mom! I just love a man that likes to have fun and can dance, wee haw. Now you know the secret, why I married the Preacher Man.
Our thought about the wedding. It was beautiful, fun and soooooooooo entertaining. It was most apparent the more time we spent with you during the planning, filming, and wedding day that the two of you are meant for each other. That is truly a blessing, cherish it! SHOT! SHOT! How about that communion whiskey! Heck Yeah!
Phil what about that thong? I was not expecting to see such a Redneck in a thong, but nice buns! The dance to take your boxers off, oh my, I was blushing, NOT! Hey by the way, sorry for distracting you from what the guys were doing to your tractor so Jeannie could kick your butt in the tractor pull, I was simply helping the guys out! Hope you can forgive me.
Please stay in touch. Remember when you decide to do the renewal of the BIG Redneck vows where you can find your Preacher Man and his right hand gal. This goes for anyone,
God Bless,

Jeanne & Phil says:
Hello Everyone - Phil and I would like to thank you all for all the wonderful comments!! As for the potatoe salad mishap - well the potatoe salad got a little too warm which caused it to sour so we just decided to “86″ it - LOL. Phil and I have the best friends that we couldn’t have done this without them. Thanks to all our family and friends that helped make our day simply PERFECT!!! Just so those of you know, I have contacted CONRAD and let him know we love the idea of getting together to watch it at the tavern, however, we are not available on the 8th so we are hoping for the 2nd!
