Is Taylor Swift About to Write a New Song?
If there is even a shred of truth to this, I am going to rip up every Jonas Brothers poster in my house. And then I'm going to delete all the Jonas Brothers songs from my iTunes library. And then, well, I don't know what I'll do next. But if Joe Jonas truly dumped Taylor Swift over the phone, then he is not the guy I thought he was. Why he'd be calling it quits with the sweetest teenager he'll ever know is beyond me. Of course, no one is even 100 percent sure they were ever dating in the first place. But he looked awfully smitten with Swift at MTV's Video Music Awards. Anyway, we all know what happens when someone breaks Swift's heart. She'll write a song about him, and it won't be pretty.

Personally, I think there was pressure applied by Disney Execs. There were stories out right after the VMAs about Disney being angry about the Joe-Taylor and Nick-Selena rumors, and I don’t think there’s been anything about Joe and Taylor being seen together since then. Some of the stories say it was Joe’s family that applied the pressure, but they all seemed o.k. with Taylor when they were together at the VMAs or having her in their movie.
And there are several indications that there was concern over Joe’s career — I think being associated with Taylor could only help Joe’s career. And, she’ll be around in country music long after he fades into boy band oblivion.

I have to assume that Alison’s entry was tongue-in-cheek, designed to mock those people who would tear down their posters over a break up and an unfortunate breach of etiquette (breaking up over the phone rather than in person) by exposing the silliness of their language.

Guys, this relationship was SO probably a sham to promote Ms. Swift in the mainstream markets of non-country listeners. No one ever lied, it is all “rumors” and “sources”. There is no family drama. No exeuctive drama…because the executives planned it.
Teens in a relationship do not get to make decisions about who makes special concert appearances, or movie cameos, or gets to cast actors playing love interests to look like them in their videos (see Joe’s girl in “Burnin’ Up” and Taylor’s boy in “Love Story”)…that’s all planned by record companies.
From what I have seen, it has worked quite a bit. People who never heard of her now know who she is. They’ll use this plot twist for a new song that will get attention from the legions of Jonas fans. Smart but sneaky!!!!!!! Wise up!

Uh…how do you know that? (taking into account of course that you’re really not his mother/would-be wife) this whole thing is just a bunch of rumors. I think Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have the right idea. just come out and say it, “we’re dating.” and then leave it be. there really can’t be all these stupid rumors if you do that, and tastefully telling your fans who you’re dating doesn’t mean you’re taking advantage of the relationship.
I see your point big mouth, it would be really disappointing if Taylor makes this into something it isn’t.
