Ten Out of Tenn Represent the Next Big Nashville
Ten Out of Tenn's MySpace profile explains that their music "is just a small glimpse of what's goin' on in Nashville. This is just a few of the many artists that haven't waited around for everyone to hear them." And neither did I. The lineup during their show at the Next Big Nashville festival on Saturday night (Sept. 13) consisted of Griffin House (if you haven't heard him, you should), Matthew Perryman Jones, Tyler James, Butterfly Boucher, K.S. Rhoads, Trent Dabbs, Katie Herzig, Jeremy Lister, Andy Davis, and my new personal favorite Erin McCarley. She reminded me of Sara Bareilles-meets-Fiona Apple-meets an edgy Colbie Caillat. Check out her song, "Pony (It's OK)." I can imagine this song playing in the background of a Grey's Anatomy finale.

I’m afraid that as far as I’m concerned, “I can imagine this song playing in the background of a Grey’s Anatomy finale” is the most damning criticism possible these days.

it is talent like erin that makes me miss nashville a little more everyday, and why i come back to the city way more often that i should.
