Trace Adkins and 38 Special get "Wild" at CMT Crossroads
CMT Crossroads is generally a pairing of two artists with contrasting backgrounds and musical styles, like John Mellencamp and Kenny Chesney, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss or Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris. This time, though, 38 Special and Trace Adkins make it look like they've been sharing the stage for years (actually it was only two days). During taping, Adkins said with a smile that he has always been a big fan of 38 Special, and if we needed proof, we could ask any of his ex-wives. You won't catch that line in this clip of "Wild-Eyed Southern Boys," but it just might make it into the full episode premier of CMT Crossroads: 38 Special and Trace Adkins on Sept. 27.

FANTASTIC! To attend this would have been a dream come true!
RedMaZ, of course you are entitled to your opinion but I just have to ask if you’ve ever seen Trace perform this song live? As one who has been fortunate enough to have witnessed it…..I have a very different opinion. Trace kicked “butt” and held his own with .38 Special.

Trace and 38 Special on stage together is a dream come true for this die-hard Trace/Southern Rock fan. I only wish Trace’s oldbies could have been there to see this live. Trace and his mentors rocked the house and YES Trace looked and sounded like he belonged there.
RedMaZ, everyone has a right to voice his/her opinion so to quote someone near and dear to my musical heart “I am gonna exercise my right to give you” (my quote from here) my opinion, if you really were a 38 Special fan then you would realize just how well Trace fit on that stage with them. You obviously have never seen Trace live, heard the tremendous talent in that voice, or listened to him pay tribute to those that influenced his music.

If I want to see a clown…I’ll go to the circus.

RedMAZ How is it you talk about everyone that sings country. Maybe you should not listen. What is wrong with you. I have seen you ditch everyone. You are so negative.

Is there a single blog posted on CMT that doesn’t get filled with bashing posts from RedMaZ? Why all the energy being spent on hate?
RedMaZ says:
I hate no one, I’m checking out Pop Country, and commenting on it. After all…these are music blogs.

Looking forward to this. A few years ago Montgomery Gentry and Lynyrd Skynyrd did an episode and sounded like they’d been playing together for years, as well. Good stuff.
