Alan Jackson vs. Brooks & Dunn
It took an Alan Jackson video to remind me of why I feel a little uncomfortable when I watch the latest Brooks & Dunn video. Jackson's "Good Time" is everything B&D's "Put a Girl in It" is not. Jackson's cast of thousands has variety, equality and reality, while B&D's just has a whole bunch of the same kind of girls. Ronnie Dunn sings that if your world's got something missing, you should put a girl in it. Watching the video, the underlying message seems to be that you should put a young, under 25ish girl with a bikini top, micro-mini and long hair in it. Oh, and throw some cowboy boots on her since it's a country song.
I'm probably overreacting. And it may be because while I still feel like a girl inside, but this video makes me feel positively ungirly by comparison. It's pretty obvious I'm not the kind of "girl" B&D are talking about. Otherwise the song would be "Put a Reluctantly Middle-Aged Woman in It." That doesn't sound nearly as good.
Alan Jackson has made me feel beautiful again, though, by casting a wider net for the extras in "Good Time." He says his little club song is an attempt to bring line dancing back, and he managed to get a big ol' crowd of folks do-si-doing right down the streets of America. The pretty girls are there, but so are the everyday, ordinary ones. Plus firefighters, pool players, bowlers and grocery shoppers. Old, young, big, small and every one in between. It's a cross section of country fans I -- and everyone around me -- can relate to. And that is a good time.

C-natural says:
I LOVE the Brooks and Dunn song, probably more than I like the Alan Jackson tune, but I whole-heartedly agree with your assessment of the way they present themselves in videos and I think that even follows through with their major marketing strategies and artist images. Alan Jackson really does appeal more to “real” people.
nathaniel says:
I think Brooks and Dunn have a better song then Allan Jackson but Allan’s video is better, but simply for the people that are in it
Connie says:
Oh please.. It’s a video . Not the state of the union. It’s a fun video. I’m a middle aged woman. I like looking at young handsome men. I still like to watch Top Gun for the volley ball game !!! Now tell me would that volley ball game look as good if it had balding pot bellied men in it? Gee you must hate the Trace Adkins videos. Where were you for “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” or Chrome, Or One Hot Mama?????
So what they are men and it’s fun and it fits the song ..
Fact is Brooks & Dunn have used what you call “real” people in their videos. Only In America, Proud of the House, That’s What It’s All About, Believe,
If Brooks & Dunn were the only artist who used these young gals.Maybe you would have a gripe. But fact is most of the videos on CMT use younger girls & guys. Why are you singling out Brooks & Dunn ???
What about Leann Rimes Nothin Better To Do ? Are those what typicalI women in prison look like? I don’t think so,
So leave Brooks & Dunn alone.
Sandi says:
As a longtime fan of Brooks & Dunn, I love the song but agree Alan’s video is better. Speaking as a forty-something woman, I want to see more of Ronnie and Kix in their videos and less twenty-something girls in bikinis.
Cowgirls Cry says:
I’m sorry having seen Alan in concert and Brooks & Dunn. I would rather go see Brooks & Dunn , I like some of Alan’s music . But in concert he is dull. I much rather see Brooks & Dunn perform. As for the videos. I like B&D’s videos. they are fun just like them
Good grief what a petty argument .
Kixwitch says:
I do like Alan’s video better, but only because I could do without the ditzy girls in Brooks & Dunn’s. I would much rather see Kix and Ronnie for the full 3 minutes!
Kat says:
I tend to agree with the writer. I realize that B&D did not think about the song as something to represent all women, they are trying to make money on a song that a lot of men will sing along. Put a girl in it, would probly take on new meaning if they would put a regular girl like a Mom, a teacher, a mentor, a nurse, a doctor, someone that represents the whole women population. Yea, I really don’t care for the video, Just put a young attractive, skinny girl with alcohol and you have just what you need. That tends to affect marriages, some people don’t realize the power behind music, people identify their life with such music. I would think that Brooks and Dunn can do better because they have! They just want to make money with this one. Alan Jackson, yea I really like the Good Time video because it is fun and showing real people in everyday life. That is a song I can sing with out guilt. I can get my kids to sing along with me! Both artist are talented and are in the business of making music, and yes, money, but some times unless they hear from the fans, they will play the music that the majority wants to hear, so what does that say about the fans?
bella starlet says:
I think that Alan Jackson’s song is better and the video is also better.
Cowgirls Cry says:
Oh good grief . Its a video. Where were you folks when Mr Adkins was rolling out all those bump and grinding videos. That Connie named . Why are you picking on Brooks & Dunn?
Now these girls in the video are also real They aren’t robots. Just because they do not fit into what you consider real . That is somewhat predigests on your part. According to all of you young beautiful girls aren’t real. I see them all the time. Not just on TV either
chris mark says:
i would have to say i would like to have a girl to have a good time. we good do the line dance. it’s not all about making love. it’s about having a good time with a woman by your side to in joy the same thing that us guy’s like to do. hang out and have a cold one by a bon fire. some women would like to hang out with guys to make sure they ain’t getting down with another b/c there girl friend ain’t around. for me it’s just as simple as walking. one foot in front of the other. take your time and you will see that more and more women like to hang out with guy’s everyday.
Leslie says:
First let me say I am a long time Brooks & Dunn fan. I don’t think this was one of the most well thought out videos that the guys have done. Yes the video does reflect the song, however it is not a true reflection of “girls”. Sorry in this day and age, of dieting, cosmetic surgery etc. I don’t think this video sets a good example for the target audience. I for one think that they could have gotten the point across without using “100 models” 100 regular folks would have made for a much more watchable video. I think they missed the mark on this one.
I would have to give Alan the video win on this one. I think the video for Good Time is just fun to watch.
Debbie says:
I have to agree with the writer. I love Brooks and Dunn but I do not like the video for Put A Girl In It. Now there is a second video of this song which I seen on GAC and it was pure B & D and well done. Nothing like the first. Alan’s video is much better and I like the song a lot.
Cowgirls Cry says:
Boy oh boy with fans like you all Brooks & Dunn sure don’t need enemies. I’m sorry but not every pretty woman has had plastic surgery, I have two lovely daughters. All natural . I think you gals sure have sour grapes when it comes to young attractive woman. That is sad.
The one on GAC also shows pretty gals in the audience. How dare they show beautiful people ..
Tammy says:
First of all, Alan Jackson’s song is a direct rip off of B&D’s Boot Scootin Boogie. If you played them over each other without the words, it would be hard to tell them apart. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I would like to comment on the B&D video. It is certainly not their best effort. It appears low budget and slapped together. They waited until the song peaked to release it. They should have just skipped the video on this one. This is not one of my favorite B&D songs either.
Kathy says:
I agree with you, Alison. I’m a long-time follower of B&D and their music (please note that I also love AJ’s music). I LOVE their music, but don’t always agree with their choice of videos. This is another one I don’t agree with. No fun unless you’re under 25, half-naked and appearing in videos with 50+ men. PUH-LEASE. Why not show a little more creativity? It IS possible for the rest of us who have seen our 20s (and gladly leave them behind) to also be FUN!! But I guess “Put An Old Bag In It” doesn’t hold the same appeal.
Connie says:
Seems Mr Jackson is guilty of using a pretty gal or two in his videos. But then he is Alan Jackson and can do no wrong.
If you need me to I can name them
gotmykix says:
Wow, how soon people forget other videos that B&D have dunn that have every day people in it. HOW about “Only in America”? Where they show the common every day person working and the cute couple who have a dream or the kids on the bus dreaming of being the president? Why single out this video? I swear, people are just jealous that Kix and Ronnie just make great music!
gotmykix says:
AND another note, I have seen Kix and Ronnie about 50 times in concert and there is a slewwwwwww of variety of people in the audience. At least they entertain their audience, Alan stands there like a bump on a log! I could have stayed home and had more entertainment than he gives you.
Nikki says:
I personaly think that they are just jealous because A.J. is just a good singer/songwriter, just because his songs are from the heart andare writen from real life experiances
redtop says:
I like them both, varaity is the spice of life
Connie says:
Who is jealous ? Brooks & Dunn? Please of what? Not like they haven’t done any thing in their own right ? Ronnie Dunn has won song writer of the year twice.
Donna says:
This is really crazy!! I say B&D video is a very fun one!! As for AJ well that’s just it, he’s AJ. We could go at this all night and day long. Brooks and Dunn knows how to rock!! Hey it’s a video! Everyone is going to have different views here. I for one love Brooks and Dunn and their music very much. They have written songs that come from the heart and are real. They are the Best!!
John says:
I like both of them?? Could someone tell me why this Blog is even here?? Cmt should be ashamed for letting someone put artist against artist–Just looking for a fight between fanbases.
Kathy says:
It seems like there are better things to worry about in this world than arguing over two videos. I like both of them. Don’t try to analize them too much, they are both meant to be fun.
Deb says:
Both videos are very good. I’m a Brooks and Dunn fan myself, but they are only videos and like someone else said who would want to look at old women. It’s just for fun.
Kathy says:
Can someone please explain why a difference of opinion is resulting in name calling, angry tirades, accusations of jealousy and putting down other artists? This is why I never post on CMT’s boards anymore.
Have a good night everyone.
Courtney says:
uhm hello ppl! its a video! a lot of country videos are like that. why must you just pick on this one? those of u who say that it is not about normal ppl, well yes i am a 15 year old girl, and i do look like that and i dont appreciate that you think that if you look like that you are ditzy and all the other crapola you are calling them. some ppl look like that and others dont. that is fine. its not all about looks. i like both songs and video. what kind of party video would it be with old women in it?? [srry to offend anyone by that] but anyhow, i like to watch the firefighters in the good time video. if they were nasty old men that would be gross. [srry again] i believe that everyone has the rite to free speech, but if you dont like a video for those reasons DONT WATCH THE FRICKEN THING! i hate to burst your bubble, but you’re not going to change anything. those kind of videos have been going on for so long. get over it.
Kimiko says:
I love both Alan and Brooks and Dunn. I’ve seen Alan in concert a couple times, plus lots of rockers. I’d rather see Alan any day. He does not move around a lot - he doesn’t need to, he can sing…
As for the videos, both are a lot of fun. I do, however, think that Good Time beats the other hands down. “Put a Girl in it” seems to be a video representing a mid-life crises. “Good Time” is from someone who is extremely comfortable where he is at. Mind you, this is just my opinion. I love most of B & D’s videos and music, I just don’t enjoy this one….
Marty says:
Many of the videos seem almost be turning into soft porn. I appreciate beauty but the world does not consist of women/young girls that look like those in the videos. Trace Atkin’s video “Badonka Donk” was another one. I think they are degrading/lowering themselves when they participate in these videos. They have tons of talent, they don’t need need all that cleavage running around. That’s what I like about Alan - a man with CLASS!!!!
Sharon says:
Ok first off the artist aren’t the only ones with a say in the video, don’t forget the label and the makers of the video and I would lay odds that the artist doesn’t even know what the finished video will look like till they themselves see the finished product. But the bottom line is if you don’t like it–then don’t watch it, change the channel, turn the tv off or leave the room. See it really is very simple folks! I personally will take a B&D video over an AJ video any day! I like AJ’s music but hearing it is all I need, now B&D I will look at and listen to anytime I can!
Debbie says:
Cow Girls Cry - I got one of those pretty young things too and have not got a problem with young beautiful girls or women. I just like the second video better than first and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Why has this turned out to be about “pretty young blondes”. Has nothing to do with it as far as I’m concerned. I loved Play Something Country and they had beautiful girls in that.
bella starlet says:
You people really need to get a life and chill out!
Carol Mihlfeld says:
In my opinion, no one compares to Alan Jackson. He is the absolute “Small Town, Southern Man.” (By the way, Alan, we are going to be in Nashville over the Thanksgiving holidays, maybe we can get together and go to Cracker Barrel for dinner.) Just dreaming!!!!!!
Zach says:
I like both alan jackson and brooks & dunn along with both songs. I think that all you women are reading into the “Put a Girl In It” video a little too much. I’m sure you’ve all had your time when you ran around in bikinis. etc, Just accept the video for what it is and let them have a little fun with it.
Lucy says:
Last year at the CMA Festival prior to B & D entering a bar to sing they had people scoping the crowd for young girls wearing next to nothing with long blonde hair. It was amusing to watch. Supposely they were going to use them in some filming. Whatever. I like Alan’s best. More original.
RedMaZ says:
All I can say is, I’m glad these clowns are in Pop Country. More power and money to them! Gettin’ over on Pop fans is a wonderful thing.
Ronnie Dunn says:
Here’s the lowdown.
We got behind the eight ball with this video and almost waited too late to put one out.
The song moved up the charts a lot faster than we anticipated, so we had to scramble to come up with something quick and easy.
I asked the producer to find a TRUCK ala verse one…. and a boat ala verse two.
The song is up tempo with a lot of energy. I asked for that with the cast and they delivered. Thank you ladies !
We, certainly try but we’ve learned over the years that it is impossible to please everyone all the time. Some people find fault in everything.
At the end of the day, Kix and I are simply humbled that the fans allow us to be here. Everything we do is done to please you.
I apologize if people were offended. We will work hard to make it up to you.
Wait ’til you see the next video for Cowgirl’s Don’t Cry !!!
Reba has agreed to be in it and we are using our three red headed daughters aged, 6, 13 and 27.
Re: AJ’s video…..Kix and I are huge Alan Jackson fans. We have been label mates for years. We can’t all look, act and sing the same.
Do I hear the faint ghost of Boot Scoot Boogie in Good Time ?
Go brother AJ !
Ronnie Dunn
Dunnhooked says:
Thank you Ronnie.. I thought both videos were good. I got a kick out of Put a Girl in it. Thanks for your response and your doing just fine,
I can’t wait to see the video for Cowgirls Don’t Cry I love that song My favorite on Cowboy Town, Sounds like it should be great with Reba how cool is that ?
Kathy says:
Ronnie Dunn
If you read this know that B&D has always been tops in my book. My son and I just saw one of your shows in St. Louis,MO and it was great.
Like you said, you can’t please everybody.
U ROCK
Cowgirl3 says:
I am a avid B&D fan and I love all the songs and video’s they do. I am also a AJ fan. Both B&D and AJ have their own unique styles which the fans love. As for the Put a Girl in it video, the song title was hint of what the video would be like. I think it was tastefully done, not any different that some of the other male artist have used in their video’s. AJ’s good time video is also a great video with the different variety of woman and men in it. Thank-you Ronnie for posting your view on this matter. I don’t feel that you need to apologize for anything. Can’t wait to see the Cowgirls Don’t Cry video, that is one my favorite songs on Cowboy Town.
Dawn
Sandi says:
Awwww, that is so sweet of Ronnie to apologize. But it’s not necessary. I for one am not offended by the video, just wanting to see more of the duo in their videos. I would be satisfied just watching them sing and play guitar.
Linda says:
Thank you Ronnie, but feel sorry you felt you needed to do this. I thought the video was fun. I am so grateful you are here, and love both of you, and so much enjoy your music, your videos, and so much enjoy watching you at the concerts. Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas. Love You!!!
Kathy L. says:
“Cowgirls Don’t Cry” is one of my favs off the cd and the video already sounds awesome!!
So sorry you felt the need to apologize, Ronnie.
Sandy says:
How nice of Ronnie to reply to this ‘nonsense’. He has no reason to apologize.
To quote him: “At the end of the day, Kix and I are simply humbled that the fans allow us to be here. Everything we do is done to please you.”
Ronnie, WE are humbled that YOU allow us to be here! Thank you both for allowing us to be part of your world! B&D fans are the MOST LOYAL of any I’ve ever known.
Courtney says:
I have always been told to enjoy my life while I’m young and so if young girls want to dance around in bikinis in a music video, then to each his own. you all know you were young once and enjoyed your life at that time. so what is so wrong about young, beautiful people? i never knew it was a law that we all had to be ugly and boring and unable to dance around, party and enjoy ourselves. if thats how the world is today, then thats too bad, cuz people need to have funn and enjoy themselves while they can. i’m sorry that people have to be so judgemental and assume things about people because of how they act and what they choose to do with their life. you have your life, and we have ours. just worry about your own. everyone elses is none of your business.
Betty says:
WOW,JUST GOT BACK FROM A CHARLOTTE BROOKS AND DUNN CONCERT. I LOVE THESE GUYS AND THEIR MUSIC. IT IS ENTERTAINMENT TO THE MAX. I LOVED BOTH VIDEOS AND VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE. CANNOT WAIT TO SEE COWGIRLS DON’ T CRY VIDEO, I LOVE THAT SONG. RONNIE , IF YOU READ THIS, PLEASE KNOW AS LONG AS YOU AND KIX ARE IN THE VIDEO NOTHING ELSE MATTERS TO US FANS WHO LOVE YA….
Ru Ann says:
Thank you Ronnie.
Thank you Kix.
Thank you to the great musicians.
Thank you to your hardworking crew.
Thanks for the great music.
Thanks for the great videos (including Put a Girl In It).
Thanks for the great concerts (9-13 Illinois).
and
Thank you ALan Jackson.
Debbie says:
Ronnie no need to apologize but I think it was nice that you posted on this blog. You are correct - you can never please everyone. I was never offended at all, just liked the second video more than the first. That’s a personal choice and no reflection on how I felt or feel about Brooks and Dunn. You, Kix and your band put a smile on my face every time I hear your music, see a video or see you in person. I’ve been to about 40 shows and will continue to go to them as long as you are touring and will continue to buy your music as long as you are putting it out there. I am forever grateful for what you guys do and always will be. To me, any time someone can put that smile on my face like you guys do - makes a memory and that’s what life is about. I’m so glad your music is part of that. Keep the music coming and I’ll see you guys in October. Can’t wait to see your next video you are a CLASS ACT and number one for me. You are what country is all about. As far as Alan’s video - I like it and I enjoy his music as well as other artists. However, no one compares to the enjoyment I get when hearing and seeing Brooks and Dunn. NUMBER ONE that is what you are!
Susie says:
Hey, it’s all in fun. Entertainment!!!! Go for it. I enjoyed watching the video and I’m 50+. Good music - keep them coming.
Cowgirls Cry says:
Ronnie how fantastic that you took the time out to post on this blog. Please you have nothing to apologize for. Your wonderful and so is Kix.
Ms. Alison I would still like to know why you chose to pit these two videos. There are so many videos out there that feature scantily dressed woman , Why single out Brooks & Dunn? Just wrong
Ronnie baby you rock !!
I can not wait to see the new video. As you can tell by my name I love the song
Gotmykix says:
You know, thats why they make choc and vanilla ice cream. Not everyone likes the same thing. My hats off always to Ronnie and Kix, they give us the best music ever and every show that we see keeps us wanting more. My opinion is they are “Entertainers of the Year” every year. Thats in my book and I dont care who doesnt or does agree. Sometimes I feel people always have too much to say. No one, I mean no one puts on a show like Kix and Ronnie and their wonderful band and crew. They work so hard to keep us happy. Ronnie, we really appreciate the time you took out of your busy schedule. Thanks for all you do!!!!!
Courtney says:
i agree with cowgirls cry. why only these two videos? i mean have you seen kid rock’s video for all summer long? the girls are wearing skimpy clothes and dancing on POLES! i am not a person offended by that or anything, i just want to know why you chose these two videos. there are plenty out there just the same.
Kathy L. says:
Who watches Kid Rock videos?? I like the song, but thankfully, have not seen that video.
gotmykix says:
I agree, why choose these 2 videos? Because Alan pays respect in it to Kix and Ronnie? He knows a great duo/song when he hears one too. I thought it was awsome that he included them in the Goodtime song. I really like both these videos, but pick on someone your own size. You cant run with the big boys, lol!!!!!
Tammy says:
I do enjoy the video in spite of the comments I made earlier. Ronnie & Kix appear to be having a GOOD TIME! I was never offended.
I just spent the last two days running the road to B&D concerts. I consider myself a hard core fan. I think a true fan can recognize that their favorite artist isn’t perfect (sorry Ronnie!) and can admit when they don’t care for something.
I’m very excited to hear that Cowgirls Don’t Cry will be the next video. It’s my favorite song on Cowboy Town. I know this video will be top notch and I can’t wait to see it!
Courtney says:
Kathy- you should see the video. its quite horrid. the only reason i watch it is because it is in the countdown.
Sharon says:
Thanks Ronnie for commenting. You have no reason to apoligize–you are so right you can’t please everyone. You and Kix are doing just fine and we look forward to anything you guys put out there! Can’t wait to see the video for Cowgirls Don’t Cry–one of my favs, oh wait the whole cd is a fav…lol
BreAnn says:
Thanks Ronnie for the comment. It was really nice of you to post on here and to apologize, although there really was no reason to apologize. Even though it was funny to see people pull their foot out of their mouths ha ha. The video was and is fun to watch and goes great with a fun song. You guys are great and are the most creative people I have ever seen! Can’t wait to see what is next, I know it will be great!
Good Humored says:
This whole posting is hilarious. The same girls who complain about the girls in the video are the same girls who crawl all over people to get the attention of the Toyota girls at the shows to get a free keychain or sticker…The Toyota girls certainly aren’t “average looking” and yet none of you mind them when it suits you. The real issue, I think, is envy…be honest, wouldn’t you rather look good enough to be in the video? There is nothing wrong with this video if you remember that it is just a video. Do you actually think Kix & Ronnie would prefer to look at average, everyday women? Married or not, they are men, and human, and let’s face it, people DO prefer good-looking to average…which, by the way, includes all of you girls since you all love B&D partly for the way they look, whether you choose to admit it or not. I’m more embarrassed that Ronnie Dunn had to apologize because his fans are envious.
Cowgirls Cry says:
Good Humored. Well said and very true, I know I like looking at a good looking man and Mr.Dunn and Mr Brooks are very nice looking, You hit the nail right on the head.
CB says:
Good humored- you are EXACTLY rite. i fully agree with everything you said and i definitely could NOT have said it any better. I am also very srry ronnie felt the need to apologize.
Angela aka dunnstruck says:
Ronnie, sorry for the slow response! I am also sorry you had to apologize, but nice to know you are interested in our opinions. I happened to like the video, but then again, I like everything you guys do. It’s not that I don’t think the girls in the video should be there, but as a long time B&D fan, I prefer to look at both of you!!!! Keep up the good work. You are awesome!! Get well soon.
Ladyluvsmrdunn says:
First of all….wish I still looked like those girls in the video….but time has her way with you ya know!
Ronnie, there is no reason on earth to apologize, the video was fun and good heavens,it’s entertainment not social commentary. Y’all are doin’ just fine ( oh is that ever an understatement!)and it is just too cool that you care enuff to comment.

Arvin Vidal says:
Oh please Alison, take a reality check. Young, pretty, sexy, scantly clad, hot girls sell CD’s, DVD’s, and tickets to shows. And it’s the norm, rather than an oddity, in the entertainment and advertising business. My wife and I attended the Alan Jackson concert at Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA (Hemet, CA) on September 12, 2008. While we were waiting to go in the entrance gates to the venue, which was lousy, a group of young men appeared and passed threw the crowd. These same young men I would see later in the evening working on the stage and surrounding area, you know the roadies or road crew. They gave a few “choice” girls up grade passes to the front row and the back stage events after the show. Ninety per cent of the girls given an up grade were 18 to maybe 25, blond hair, full chested, nice figure, in a word “hot.” They would look good in the video of the concert, right up there in the front row, when ever it was aired. Strange I wonder if that gives the impression that only “Hot, young, blond, full chested girls attended the concert. Wonder why none of the “Plan Jane” girls, or the girl in the wheel chair, or the grandmothers were given even one look when the up grades were issued. I wonder what happens at the back stage after show events. Why none of the more full bodied girls, the older more mature ladies, or even the “hot” girls with their boyfriends and husbands were not up graded to the front row and back stage party. There was one average looking woman in the front, on the outer edge of the “hot girls,” that was given an up grade, but she had a cute little girl dressed in pink western clothing including hat and boots. And I don’t remember seeing her and the little girl accompanying the hot girls to the back stage events.
Arvin Vidal says:
P.S.
Alison, if you are going to compare and measure people use the same ruler each and every time.
These are just my opinion, I very well could be wrong. But judge for yourself, view the video when it airs, either in its full version or as part of advertisemnts, see if I’m in error.
Neil says:
Come on ! Its supposed to be about the music. CMT or anything related to MTV networks are the worst. What happened to the music? You get everything but the music on these worthless would be music television. I can’t believe what has happened and the ratings like the channels have gone down hill. Just take the CMA’s Billy and Miley? give me a break. You don’t have to be talented anymore just hire an image consultant use an electronic pitch device to correct your lousy voice ,rip off Jimmy Buffet and away you go. It worked for Kenney “Cheesney”. All I’m saying is it should be about the music. At least Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert write most of their songs. And I don’t mean that there aren’t some great singers who don’t I’m refering to the fact that some people complain about the new crop of country singers. There are some very good ones but there is also video driven ones as well. No Talent great video. I quit watching, thank goodness for cirrus and XM radio.
Kelly Harlow says:
Well, I personally think that both videos are great! I think most men however, would enjoy Brooks & Dunn’s a little more. HAHA
rose18 says:
I also agree that Ronnie did not have to apologize for ANYTHING!!!! Cowgirls Don’t Cry is my Favorite. Can’t wait to see the video.
txjo says:
I have been disappointed with a couple B&D video..
and think they are falling in line with the HOnkytonk badonkadonka vibe..that i don’t like. Yep i know sex sells… but not to me.
