My Biggest Redneck Wedding Ever
Elaine and Bruce were the bride and groom featured in CMT's Biggest Redneck Wedding Ever. They share their story.
They say if it is raining on your wedding day that your marriage will last forever. Well, if that's the case, mine and Bruce's is a winner! The wedding was an outdoor event, and was actually put on rain delay for over an hour. But you know what? There is nothing I would change about that day, and somehow the rain made it even better. Bruce was waiting in the rain for me, my bridesmaids were drenched and beautiful, and my daddy was more nervous than me. As we said our vows to each other, both Bruce and I had tears in our eyes, and it was perfect. The reception was fantastic, with the most beautiful cake (that looked like a pile of mud, complete with trucks and mudders) in the world, and some of the craziest redneck activities you can imagine. Dunkin' fer turds (in real toilets, no less, and I won the first place trophy!), a giant beer slide, cooter stew, fried deer meat and alligator meat, and catering from some gorgeous Hooter Hotties. Our families and friends made the day complete, and I couldn't have dreamed a more wonderful dream. My dress got cut off and muddied, and the handprints of one little boy who wanted a hug won't wash out, so I have a permanent reminder of the smile on his face. Thanks to all y'all who made my big day so special. I'll never forget it. ; )
Elaine

Congratulations Elaine and Bruce on your glorious day. I live in nearby Homosassa and was excited to see a local getting all their dreams fulfilled on National Television. Good luck in your future. God bless!!

Congratulations Bruce and Elaine!
We had an awesome time. What a great experience. We had a party to watch the show on Saturday night. Lots of laughs, it was so much more fun than on TV. We wish you two the best and we are sure we will see you guys at one of the next mudding events.

I wish cmt would go back to playing videos only. I’m sick of all the studpid shows you have one there. During the day I would like to watch video but instead “redneck wedding” is on. Or make another channel for videos only.
I knew after awhile you would end up like MTV. You’ve lost
sight of what CMT stands for.
Thank you for your time.

Jody says:
Elaine-
I don’t know if you remember me, but we were good friends over 20 years ago in NC - Jody from PA. I lived with you for a while and then moved back to PA with my daughter Erica. I was shocked when I was surfing channels and happened upon your wedding day! What a riot! I’ve wondered over the years what ever happened to you and the kids! Congratulations on your big day, you looked so happy! Hope to hear from you!
Take care - J
niki says:

rodney says:
do you know where the term redneck started? the miners in south west West virgina. 90% OF THESE WEDDINGS ARE TRASH and fake. how do i know?, because i sent cmt (pink sneakers)packing they were filming us and did some things and tried to make us say things that were not us. they didnt like the idea that it was true redneck and not trash.because of their stunt the president of the local fire company may loose his position. true rednecks dont back down, the miners didnt back down against the mine owners. all in all we had a beautiful wedding. remember stay strong and steadfast in what you belive in.
Jana says:
Elaine, It’s Jana, Tommy’s Daughter from Lincolnton. I seen Drew and Leslie in there, I haven’t seen them in a while. Hope everything turned out the way you wanted it to.
Cricket says:
Susie, take your negativity somewhere else. If you don’t like something about the show, keep your mouth shut.
My mom’s wedding was great.
FIN :)
Jeanne says:
It always amazing me to see the stupid comments people put on here in reference to these shows. If you don’t like it - turn it!! There are more channels that are just music. My wedding was taped and we had a blast. We stayed true to who we are and told the film crew there were things we wouldn’t do and they were fine with that. As for all the families that allow the filming of your events (as we did) - Thanks! As I said we had a blast and would welcome them back in our lives any day! We look forward to watching and laughing with the rest of our Redneck Families! Congrats to all the Redneck Couples out there that have a sense of humor and are willing to share that with others! GOD BLESS!!
Terry says:
Tell Bruce I said Hi, he should remember me from being a roomate at one time and working at Lails. I’m still doing electrical work. That should ring a bell! And by the way I just loved the show, you guys did a great job. It was funny as all get outs. Hope you two have a great life together.
Keisha says:
You know what….Everyone’s wedding dreams are different so whether your dreams include limo’s and wine and country clubs or tractors and mud and beer, this is YOUR day. You live it how you want! Congrats!
Laura Cook says:
I moved here from Ft Lauderdale in 1997, right down the street from Inglis. I live in Homosassa. I’m so happy for you guys! Your wedding looked so fun. Nice to know that “THE BIGGEST REDNECK WEDDING” was practically in my backyard. I knew that we had the “good-ole-boy” system alive and well here in Citrus(or Circus)County. But seeing that Redneck Wedding on TV confirms it….I’m living in a county of slack-jawed, semi-toothless, beer guzzlin, dirty bare feet, yocals with big knobby wheeled muddin trucks with lawn furniture as car seats. You know what? I wouldn’t give this up for anything!! It’s a great place to live! Really live and relax. Great country folk. Better than any city in the USA! Congrats you two!
Professional Redneck Woman says:
Hey Rodney, Our wedding will be aired soon, and I have nothing but great things to say about Pink, and CMT. They are professional, down to earth, and mabye if you had everything planned and put together, and interesting, you wouldn’t have been told to do certain things. You didn’t have to do anything you didn’t want to. I know, I have done this. Sounds like your just a hot-head, and I wish the best for your wife. My husband and I are some of the hardest working people you could ever meet, and we are true redneck. This is all in fun, and people need to relax more. Suzie, turn the station, there are plenty people tuning in. Life is too short, and the world has way more important problems than to hear people bitchen about this. I bet you have watched shows that others don’t like. Anyways, Congratulations Elaine & Bruce, I know you will never forget that day, and you seem like your both very happy! PRW

Congratulations! My family moved down in Inglis on 40 and couldn’t believe we didn’t know what was going on at the mud hole. Everybody knows what’s going on around here! Nobody has a clue where we live. Now they do! I didn’t even know where we were moving to but you put us on the map. Stop by anytime. We’ll go to Ocala Speedway and race dirt track! Congratulations again!
Brandi says:

Bruce and Elaine, are you from Inglis or Stuart. If you were from Inglis more people would have been there. Four thousand wings for about fifty people. But it looked like fun.
