Mabe in America Finale
Tom Mabe is featured in CMT's hidden camera show Mabe in America.
Wow!!!! The season is over. The season finale was Friday night, Aug. 8, we went up against the Olympics opening ceremonies and we kicked their butts! OK, maybe not. I do want to thank the six of you who boycotted the opening ceremonies to watch the funniest Mabe in America ever.
Thank God for DVR and TIVO. I was actually driving back to Kentucky from Hilton Head Friday night so I didn't see either. I did catch Mabe in America later that night. I laughed out loud at my own show! You know when you're shooting these bits you're on a mad schedule, everything is rush rush rush. You forget all the crazy fun things that you had done while shooting.
I did something fun this week, I have small children and I live on a corner. Kids in their little loud cars come flying around the corner and down my street. At least 10 times a day I yell "Watch out for the car!!!"
Tuesday I sat out behind a bush in my front yard and every time one of these speed demons would come up doing 60 in a 25 mph zone I would roll a kick ball out in front of their car! They would slam on the brakes and I would run after the ball telling them to slow down the whole time, I got young kids etc. They would curse and speed off, then I would proceed to throw the kick ball at their car and miss by a 100 feet, I think a beer bottle would have been easier, they are heavier and easier to control. There's always next time. You think with these gas prices kids would drive a tad slower.

Hey, I just watched Good Morning America, they had these people who would sleep eat, really, they would wake up and eat in their sleep and gain a lot of weight.
I wish I would wake up in the middle of the night and work out! How cool would that be? I’d just start getting all buff and stuff. Instead of sleep walking I could sleep jog…

Caught one of the late late shows when I got up to feed my baby but now I’m trying to see them online and I’m just finding little excerpts. It was a scene at my place cuz the baby was crying and my husband and I were laughing, you couldn’t hear anything due to all the noise. She said they play your telemarketer sound bits on the way to work for a good morning laugh. Like many Friday nights we were satellite channel surfing and she saw your show listed and commented on how funny you were on the radio. I do not listen to country music or watch CMT but a friend that does watch CMT told me about your show.
Now she is my BESTEST friend in the whole world! :D
She said to me, “This guy does things you do or that I drag you away from doing in public.”
LOVED the shows and have my Tivo set to record every show!
All of the skits are great but I really like those political ads!
Thanks for the laughs because as you know, everyone needs more reasons to laugh in this life.

I really enjoyed your shows. I still have not seen the finale. I could not figure out how to watch it on CMT. And the only show-time information I could find was for episode 2 & 4. I was able to view some video shorts and to see the Bounty commercial about 100 times. I have it memorized now!

It’s comedy and it’s something that’s appropriate for all ages ! My daughter is 14 years old and she giggled the whole time !
It’s not too often that there are shows on ~ that the whole family can watch and laugh so much together.

“Mabe In America” is by far my favorite show on television, but it is not on nearly enough. Good clean comedy is so very hard to find these days but I have found it in Tom Mabe. I only wish he was on CMT more often!!!
There are several shows which I will nto name that air constantly and to be honest they are not very good shows, so my question is will there come a time when “Mabe In America” will air more? To be honest if it was to air more my television would NEVER leave CMT!!!
I know I am only one person, but I am sure many many viewers woudl agree with me.
So lets get Tom on the schedule mroe often!!! People need more laughter in their lives and Tom brigns it!!!

Hey Tom, I was in NewAlbany at the demo-derby where you were running around with a urinal strapped to ya. I was the giant guy who asked ya not to talk to me while I was pee-ing. LOL Also I was the guy the crowd was chanting for during the eatting contest. I had a blast that day and I am a fan for life after I saw your “feeding the homeless” bit at the (white castle) resteraunt. That my friend was a classic.
