Jessica Simpson is going to be on CMT Insider today and I have looked high and low for a place to comment on that article with no luck. It is posted under News 8/15 but there is no comment link. Its easy to figure out why. The article is full of TONY ROMO just like always using him for publicity. It is so sickening. We are sick n tired of both of them. Now they want to pull Carrie down in the toilet with them. Carrie is hanging onto the rim for dear life trying not to enter the water. Go live your life. We all know Carrie, she had been around for a while. And I am sure that Jessica feels threatened by her. But I am not concerned that Jessica’s insecurties are going to adversely affect Carrie. Carrie is bright/intelligent. Jessica has to prove herself, and she needs to do that without taking potshots at others in country music. No one else does that. She should know that. She is gorgeous, highly intelligent ( graduated SALUTATORIAN in high school and graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE in college ), has a great personality and has a very strong faith in GOD. She started singing in the church since she was a little girl; she sang “Angels Brought Me Here” at the Finale of Season 4 American Idol Show and also sang “God Bless The Broken Road” at the Top 4 Competition of AI 4 and a duet with Rascal Flatts at the Finale. She sang “Jesus, Take The Wheel”, the lead single of “Some Hearts” album. She sang “How Great Thou Art” at the elite Grand Ole Opry which she is now a lifetime member and in the album “How Great Thou Art: Gospel Favorites From The Grand Ole Opry”. I really don’t care what the haters will always say. But, THIS IS THE FACT!!! The Allure photo shoot and article was in May in a timeframe, as I understand it JS and Romo were off on their on again off again relationship. Carrie is honest, knows that there are phone records to prove her honesty, so JS is the Classless one going out on radio stations bashing Carrie calling her a liar. For the record I want to apoligize for calling Carrie Classless which I shouldn’t have reacted in the same manner that she was acting when she made those statements.
I am not a hater but feel that someone needs to come to Jessica’s defense. If you listen to the interview, the DJ said that she loves Carrie but felt that what she did was tasteless which it was and all Jess did was agree with her because it was tasteless. I don’t know how any of you here can believe the lie that Carrie did it because she cared. She is a singer and knows full well the power of words and she made those statements with the intention of hurting two individuals who are very happy and in a committed relationship.
The interview was quite funny and in no way shape or form did Jessica come off sounding insecure. A person that is insecure is someone that needs to make statements to hurt others. I applaud Jessica for being such a woman of faith and to keep on being herself, a wonderful and kind person, in the face of such negativity and diversity. Jessica and Tony do not need to be forgiven, rather, Carrie should apologize for her tasteless comments. She needs to stop bashing Tony. I think it takes strength to walk away from a relationship that you know is not working. If you look at Jessica and Tony they look very happy. I pray that the lord will send many blessings to both Tony and Jessica. It is not a sin to find happiness with someone. Sometimes people just click and sometimes people don’t. Exactly what did Carrie Underwood say in the Allure article that was so bad? They asked about men she had been linked to and she answered the questions. She is not trying to come between Jessica and Tony. Carrie said she and Tony never had a serious relationship, that they talked alot at one time about handling a quick rise to fame but not anymore. Jessica is guilty of doing what she accuses others of, believing the spin that tabloids put on things. The DJ said it was tasteless and Jessica agreed-um, the DJ read a two line excerpt from a USweekly article on 8/15. It was before the full article was even out. I really don’t know how you could make a decision to call someone tasteless when you don’t even have the context of the comment. After the full article is read, you can see there was nothing to it.
Believing a lie that Carrie said it because she cared–WTH are you talking about? Carrie did it to get out their media triangle. In other words, we’re not even really close friends anymore much less me going after him is ridiculous.
The description of insecure is making statements to hurt someone–Yeah, thats what Jessica did when she said Carrie was tasteless. Jessica knew that interview was given two months ago and lead on that the comment was said now. She knows how magazines work. She could have easily said oh I dont think Carrie meant anything like that or something like I know how hard it is giving interviews and having your words twisted around. Instead she ran with it and is milking it for all its worth. So yes Jess fits you description of insecure. Carrie has never bashed Tony ever. I bet you couldn’t even come up with an example because she has always considered him a friend. So some people click and some don’t, why do you think they are just friends. Tony was doing the calling not Carrie. Tony was the one trying to get with her. You just need to hear Carrie’s song Sometimes You Leave. “you can’t mold them, make them, change them. So sometimes you just walk away” You date to find what works and you go thru alot of doesn’t before you find what does. She said when something doesn’t she gets a good friend out of it. That is what she had with Tony, a good friend. It was a year and a half ago and the media is still linking her romantically to him. Evidentally, he had renewed interest because he was calling her but she was not interested.

Specific to the article, Carrie Underwood does NOT have a single thing to apologize for in this article. She was honest, vulnerable and strong all at the same time. I encourage everyone to read the entire article. There is just so much to appreciate about her in the interview. In no way did I read a negative or “slam” in her comments about Tony Romo. In fact, she has always been very gracious when commenting about him.
Specific to the Jessica Simpson interview, the DJ said Carrie was classless and Jessica Simpson agreed. Classless is a strong word and both the DJ and Jessica Simpson should be ashamed of their comments. I listened carefully to the entire interview because I wanted to grant Jessica Simpson the same fairness I would expect for Carrie Underwood. In conclusion, I feel the comments of the DJ and Jessica Simpson were completely uncalled for. As a consumer I have a choice and going forward I will not spend one penny on a single note of music that Jessica Simpson sings. I will change the channel each and every time she comes on (are you reading CMT?). I will re-evaluate only if I hear her grant a verbal apology that I can hear (i.e., radio, tv interview). Something along the lines of, “I completely over reacted…” will work just fine for me. There is room for many amazing woman in country music and I am so supportive of each of them because I believe they work very hard. Until I hear an apology I will not support Jessica.

Carrie is a great entertainer and a real person. She stated the truth. Before the article came out I read other sources that said Tony stilled called. I think Jessica likes publicity any way she can get it and I think Romo’s ego took a public hit when Carrie said she didn’t always pick up his calls. He’s covering his butt. Here Jessica goes again folks. In the short time since she’s gone country, first she brought us Fancy perfume, which just happens to have the same name as Reba’s famous COUNTRY song. Now she’s promoting beer, which happens to have a COUNTRY name “Stampede Light Plus.” LOL! The Stampede web site says the beer is for people who “choose to look after themselves” and that Jessica “is America’s sweetheart and an internationally known entertainer who takes care of herself.” Who are they kidding? I’ve never thought of her as America’s sweetheart — more like America’s tabloid pop tart. She does take care of HERSELF by eating meat, dissing a top country artist and such. Stampede beer supposedly contains vitamins so maybe Jessica got wind of Carrie’s vitamin water deal and poorly tried to copy her again. Wait until you see her classless beer ad photo. Carries ok. There are alot of better singers out there. She will make a couple albums and them go down from there. I followed her on American Idol and liked her. Carrie got her success because she has GOD in her life. She is a forgiving and do not keep bitterness in her heart. Make a joke at someone or tell a lie is not her life style (someone who is in God know how to appreciate other people like their appreciate themselves). That is why Carrie has many fans from every generation (even someone who cannot see her physically know that she is beautiful) because people not just see her from the outside but also what the inside.
