Alex Woodard Will Write a Song for You
Maybe I'm just too vain. But when I heard that country-folk rocker Alex Woodard was going to write a song for everyone who preordered his CD, I had to have it. That's every girl's dream, isn't it? To have some guy write you a song? So even though Woodard and I have never met, he's actually done it. He wrote a song about me, for me. And I have to say, it is quite good.
So if you want an acoustic tune that's all about you, you should do this. Or maybe the frustrated songwriter in you is incapable of filling up that blank sheet of paper, and you need Woodard to write a song for your girlfriend/wife/mistress. Then do it. He is one of those singers who has the voice for this. Part haunting Gary Allan, part gritty Keith Urban and part storytelling John Mellencamp. So whether he writes you a brooding ballad about lost love or an up-tempo party song because you're about to turn 29, again, somehow it works.
Even if you don't like the song he wrote for me, listen to his others. Like "Beautiful Now," which would've made a nice title for my song, too.
The thing I like about this whole ambitious project of his is that it makes him accessible. He's new, but he's not shy. He's talented, but he's not a diva about it. He's a singer and a songwriter and he's doing what he does best, one fan at a time.

hey that is a good idea i wish someone would write me a song about my life its so complacated right now and trying to take care of my boys that i have left in my life if i lost them i wouldnt know what to do…..
im going through a divorce and trying to take care of my boys with family help i live with my aunt and uncle and there girls and i try to go see my boyfriend everytime i get a chance and life is so hard right now and dont know which road to take right now. i just wish my divorce was final so i can leave tennessee and move in with the man that i love and go sit and walk a long the beach and just put my feet in the sand. im from florida and here theres no beaches or if u want to go 4-6 hours away and the way that gas prices are now you just about cant go anywhere unless you have a good job and make alot of money.
