It’s clear from watching Chuck Wicks’ "All I Ever Wanted" that what he wants is his thin, brunette, jean-skirted love interest. But apparently, he’s not too far off the mark. Everyone seems to be looking for love these days -- or rather, someone to love them back. I read recently that the number one thing people want in life -- more than money, a new car or even a fancy new home -- was simply someone to love them. I find this piece of information both hopeful yet, at the same time, sad. I would like to think everyone has someone to love them. Or at least I sure hope they do.

Anyway, most of the time when I watch a music video, I have these kinds of thoughts and questions that come up -- like little ideas that I kick around in my mind that are triggered from watching a music video. However, this video doesn’t really make me think or even leave me with any questions. Instead, it’s a video showing an outdoors, enjoyable-looking party, under lights, with beautiful people -- simple as that. Actually, for a moment I forgot I was watching a music video. At times it looks more like an Abercrombie & Fitch commercial. But even so, the imagery is quite nice to look at and so are the people in it -- particularly Chuck Wicks. I guess I was just hoping for a little more substance or at least some interesting shots.

But, then again, maybe I’m just jealous I wasn’t invited.
