Rissi Palmer Remakes "No Air" in Beautiful Video

This video is simply beautiful. But then again, how could it not be? Shot in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, the flawless-looking newcomer, Rissi Palmer, tries her hand at "No Air." Sound familiar? That's because the song reached the top of the Billboard charts recently but with reigning season six American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and R&B singer Chris Brown on vocals. So, for Palmer to take on a recently successful song was a pretty gutsy move - but a smart one.

She wrote a blog about her trip while filming the "No Air" video and took photos from the shoot. For those of you who remain skeptical and think her pristine vocals have been filtered through an audio mixer, which may very well be the case, I would encourage you to check out her Unplugged at Studio 330. This is her live acoustic session, and I enjoyed this scaled-down version even more.

    “Reigning American Idol Jordin Sparks”? I’m sorry, did the last year not happen or something? Is David Cook in our imaginations?

    Well I have heard Rissi Palmaer LIVE and she has some awesome vocals I must say!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Rissi this past February before her concert.She played the “Winter Bash” along with Carolyn Dawn Johnson,Phil Stacey,Chris Young and Sawyer Brown at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates Il.She is just as beautiful in person as she is in her videos.MS.Palmer DOES NOT need any machine to help her vocals folks!!!Go out and get her debut self titled CD,you will not be disappointed.

    I highly disagree with Vicki. I think the Jordin Spark’s version is much,much better. She just is on a different level than Rissi.

    Ressi - Very proud of you. This is beautiful and I certainly enjoyed it. I have been totally trilled about you debut CD. Simply lovely!! Guess you just have to have good taste :)

    Rissi Palmer is fooling herself. Sadly she does not have the voice that fits for country music. I agree with Emma, Jordin’s version is much, much, much better than Rissi’s version of the song.
