Sara Evans' New Jingle: Put a Twang in It

Posted: July 23rd, 2008 at 1:03 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Sara EvansAnd a fiddle riff. And some steel guitar. Then maybe I'll eat my veggies. I grew up with the jingle for Libby's canned vegetables, and my mom usually always had Libby's on our table, table, table. So Sara Evans' take on the musical tag line feels very country and very nostalgic. Two things I love. The concept behind the new ad campaign is to get people to eat dinner together more often. With Evans' new Brady Bunch blended family, I'll bet making dinner at her house is pretty chaotic. And it's not nearly as easy as ordering a pizza. But even with the chaos, eating dinner together is a real fine place to start.

Do they still only make canned vegies? My memories of those are gross but maybe they’ve changed since I was a kid!!!

If canned vegetables are on the family dining table, I think I might prefer to eat out. Preferably at a place that serves fresh food.

Sara is very much the best spokesperson for this campaign! I too have a strong family background of tradition of eating at the table with my family and still continue to do so! Too many families are scattered and nowadays with hectic schedules and everyone busy all the time, it is always a pleasure to be still, sit down at the table and really enjoy family togetherness and have a great meal!
