Around the Web: What Is It About Chesney, Anyway?
Even though the rest of the world loves Kenny Chesney, the Washington Post can't quite figure out his major appeal.
Finally, more of Kellie Pickler's sweet voice is on the way. Her new album's due out in late September.
Stay home and watch The View? Or go buy the new CD? That's the dilemma Sugarland fans will face on Tuesday (July 22).
Some stars may balk at signing autographs, but that's not the case with Randy Travis.
Singing, schminging. Tim McGraw has loftier goals, which could explain his role in the new Robert Duvall movie "Get Low."

Billie says:
everybody loves kenny, just because he’s kenny, can’t get any better than that!!!!!!!!!!!
carol says:
Good question….I just don’t see it myself….and I’m a life long country music fan…..oh, maybe that’s the answer..he’s not really a country music singer….lol..
TNgirl says:
Kenny seems like he’s just like every one else he likes to have fun, guy’s want to be like him and girl’s want him!!
He is a small town guy who made it big and didn’t let it go to his head. He is proof that dreams can happen if you want them bad enough.
And he is country he sings country he sounds country sings about country way of life. That’s country to me!
Believe me where Kenny grew up that’s country!
GWFAN says:
Saw Kenney in concert at Browns Stadium…All I can say is I hope he pays his sound crew well. Because he sounds terrible in concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diane says:
Everyone loves Kenny because he makes great music, and he knows how to connect with his fans. It’s hard to take your eyes off him when you see him on stage with his boots, hat and those jeans!

Pam says:
I don’t really get the KC appeal either. Some of his songs are good but I really only went to the Chicago Soldier Field show to see Keith Urban & the others. He has big names with him and that is why the shows are an event. He, himself, was lousy in Chicago & Keith absolutely stole the show
chad says:
kenny chesney is kenny chesney. he has made a name for himself and has become bigger than anyone in country music today. when people say he isnt country, its true hes not, but listen to his first 4 cd’s… there country, he wasnt getting his breakthough with that sound, then after no shoes, no shirt, no problems, he became a superstar, today i dont classify chesney as country, but more as someone who can put out songs that have a good beat, are easy to sing along with and great to drink to, he is without question the best performer since garth brooks, not to many other country singers do what kenny has done in his career
Dona says:
Enjoy Kenny’s music. Saw him for the first time in concert and Countryfest this year and was disappointed, thought his show would have been more exciting.Unless you paid top dollar for VIP seats you might as well have stayed home as that is who he played to not the thousands of others that were there
LMZ says:
Kenny’s not your Dad’s country. His appeal is on the fact that he’s just like everyone else. I agree with TNGirl, he’s a small town guy who appreciates his fans. I saw him (again) last night in Philly. GWFAN is crazy - He sounds fantastic. He’s about a good time………and that’s appealing!
Noelle says:
Can’t wait for Kellie Pickler’s new album!
Erin says:
It is what it is…he’s definitely not your typical, old school country act…but he puts great songs out there that people relate to and he delivers a good time. I don’t think it needs to be classified as this or that…the fact is I can crank down my windows, sing and dance along to my radio when KC comes on. The only thing better is getting to experience it live…he delivers and follows through on giving you a night to leave behind your troubles and have a FANTASTIC time. What more could anyone ask for? Country? Maybe, maybe not…but it’s a good time and good music…and that’s all that matters.
Always Right says:
I hear the whole city of San Francisco luuuuuvs Kenny!
Sue says:
I cannot stand Kenny and wished he would go to his island and stay there. He is so overrated.
