Can You Duet: Nick
Nick Brownell is one of the finalists in CMT's Can You Duet competition.
After last week's show, we totally redeemed ourselves. This week was songwriter week and we decided to do a song that I had written called "A Place to Hide." When Rossi announced our names, there was barely any applause. By the time we were done, there was a roar so loud I thought the ceiling was going to collapse! During the performance, the sunglasses on my head were creeping down. While the camera panned across me, I made a slight head nod and my sunglasses fell perfectly upon my face. Towards the end of the song I did a little knee slide and blew a huge face melting solo. The crowd went wild and Naomi loves me again. We received all three yeses and moved onto the next round. Please do not turn the channel while viewing this performance. THE END.

Have yall given any thought to AMERICAN IDOL.I mean wasnt it a country duet they were looking for? Yall are so not country.Listen guys here me when i say,a little bit of country and a little bit of rock n roll.When kid said (KID ROCK)he went back in time,on this his latest CD, He did just that,a little bit of both.This will be his biggest selling ever.My point is this if yall can grab the ears of all ages in the music that you write,theres no stopping ya. I consistently enjoy “Brownell & Richey” performances every week - and I do mean EVERY week. Part of the charm of a live performance is that it isn’t always going to be perfect. I have to tell you - you guys are about as close to perfection as anyone I’ve known and I agree with all the other responses.
As for whether you’re country or southern rock or whatever - I think you’re talented and will be successful crossover artists who can wear any “label”.
I can’t wait to buy a CD. I’m sure you’re not allowed to market anything you’ve done “before” on here so I’m off to go “Google” and see what I can find.

Very Nice performances! Ive been a fan from the auditions and still believe you and Jeremiah have what it takes. Dont let people try to change you, you are who you are and for them to make assumptions about you, a person they have never met is wrong.Everyone needs to understand that TV can make anyone look the way they want them to be seen. I do not know you either however you definately have the talent, the looks and the moves. Lovin the shades and the scarves, very nice.

that song (05-30-08)was strangly reminicent of a Styx song called Renegade.
even the flow of the song was similar. Try doing something a bit more original.
