An Amazing Night at the CMT Music Awards

Julianne HoughHey everyone,

Monday night was AMAZING. I am still smiling. My sister and I sat next to my tourmates Jewel and Chuck Wicks, and behind us was James Otto, who tapped me on the shoulder and gave me the “biggest fan” award. I’ve grown up idolizing these artists, and I actually got to meet most of them, one in particular, Faith Hill, who has inspired me so much. It was an honor meeting her.

It was so much fun being up on that stage. I got to introduce my tourmate, Brad Paisley, with Sara Evans and Josh Turner, who kept making me laugh during rehearsals that day. Not to mention I was pretty nervous. You would think after performing on TV with 30 million people watching each week the nerves would leave. Well, well think again! :)

The performances blew me away, they were all so amazing. I really enjoyed LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland and Keith Urban. I can only hope to perform up there one day. What an unforgettable night!

This was the worst Country Music Awards show I have ever tried to watch. Being a country music fan for my entire life, I was extremely disappointed in this presentaton. Shit Dog on country music stage. What a disgrace to those that love country music. The music being played on country music radio is no more country than Shit Dog. I don’t even tune my radio into country stations anymore, I carry cds of real country music, ie; George Strait, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash and several others, back when country was country. There is only two country music singers today, Alan Jackson and George Strait. The rest is a crock.

I agree. Swift and Cyrus can hit the road. Only teenagers and liitle girls buy their mucic. People that really know what country music is about support the true artists.

My friends and I surely appreciated the recent CMT
awards show..It was one of the best we have ever seen
in CMT. To each his own .. but no performer that night
old crew, multi-grammy winners as FAITH AND tim ,
young een age stars deserve to be called a ‘cronk’.that’s
too deregatory a word.. I[OR WE watched the show to see
the Mcgraws who rarely performs there [like a manna from
heaven] and with the reception they gor,the ovation
the ’screams’…we are so proud of them…it is a raw
emotion , powerful song. I REPEAT NOBODY IS A CRONK11

This isn’t about the awards, but why can’t they write her a song that is good. She is just a doll but she isn’t a baby. Spice it up a bit.
