It is Ryan Adams Song, he wrote, recorded and released in 2001, many others have covered it.

one thing that DOES make me mad: what the heck do you mean “the song writer behind Tim Mcgraw’s when the stars go blue”????? its RYAN’S song!!!!!!!!!!!!! whenever i hear tim sing it i wanna throw up. he ruins the song.
