Blake Shelton’s Choir Will Kick Everyone’s *****

Posted: December 19th, 2007 at 2:00 pm  |  By: Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton on Clash of the ChoirsWell, last night was awesome. I really had a great time performing with my choir. They are so excited and that rubs off on me. After the show, I did what these folks call “press” after the show… a bunch of interviews asking me how I felt about my choir’s performance and the competition. Overall I just told everyone how I am going to kick their ***** (removed for explicit content).

After that I took my family to find some food. We looked for a diner that was open 24 hours and found a place called Gold Street. We were all pretty tired so we ate and then all went back to the hotel. I barely remember laying my head down on the pillow and I wasn’t even drunk!

So, get this…I set my alarm for 7:50, because I had an interview thingy at 9:00 a.m., but I forgot that my phone was on vibrate. Great bit of good that did me. I was a little late, but I made it. I was planning on taking a nap since I didn’t get to sleep in, but I can never do that. I always feel worse if I try to sleep in the middle of the day. So instead of a nap, I am blogging. So, if I forget something that I did, it’s probably because I am going on no sleep. In fact, I better go. I have a 3:30 p.m. call time and I need to find Miranda. Now, don’t get lazy. Vote for my choir again tonight.

Blake, you kicked *** tonight! Can you tell me who originally sang the song your choir sang tonight, I believe the name was “Home”. When I saw them sing that the other night in practice, I was wishing you would have them sing it on the show, I love that song.
    Thanks!

Got my 20! Good stuff! I honestly feel Patti LaBelle’s choir fell off tonight and y’all were the best group out there. The whole “Flight of the Bumblebees” thing will probably cost Lachey. That was strange as all get-out.

Those interwoven songs on y’all’s second song were AWESOME! Loved “Home” too! Something happened soundwise on that one though. I think one of your leads had her mic off and turned it on late? Other than that it was all stellar! What can you say about your last song of the evening? Y’all just kicked major ***! Your choir was feeling it all night long and it came across the TV!

Get those earrings yet? Don’t forget what Miranda can do with kerosene and a match buddyro! :-o

I was delighted and moved to hear a traditional Christmas song. It was truly beautiful and appreciated the symbolism of the choir being positioned like a Christmas tree. Don’t know if it was intended, but it looked great.

    Blake!!!

My mom passed away when “The Baby” came out and that song endeared me as your fan even more..saw you and Miranda too, when I attended the 2004 CMA Fan Festival. awesome, awesome, awesome…my husband was in the Air Force at Tinker AFB and we lived in Midwest City, OK for 5 years and our son was born there. An amazing place and amazing folks..I truly hope and pray TEAM SHELTON wins and your choir singing “HOME” to OKC last night was simply amazing..best of luck tonight Blake..I hope you, Miranda and your mom and sister enjoy the rest of your time in New York. ( My husband also hunts and fishes and YOU will be hard pressed to find a Cabella’s, Gander Mountain, etc. in NYC ) but it is a nice place to visit BUT Oklahoma is such a wonderful place to go home to! Happy Holidays to all of you! Have a safe trip home!

All I want for Christmas is a link to Blake’s Choir singing “Joy to the World”. It’s just perfect - strikes the perfect balance between reverence and rocking - and we needs it - now. Thanks, by the way, for the link to Marc Broussard’s “Home”. Your choir introduced me to this amazing piece last night and for that I thank you. I join the rest of these bloggers with prayers and thanksgiving. I want Team Shelton to win. You already have in my book. Y’all just de-Grinched my Xmas totally. Let me know when the Team Shelton Revival and Mood Rescue Unit will tour MN - I’ll be there. Thank you all and may each of you feel that joy you gave to the country last night - all year long.

    Blake,
I was kinda sad when your choir got 3rd but at the same time it doesn’t really matter because your Charity got $50,000!!! That’s freakin’ awesome! It was for a great cause, and with all that is bad in the world, that is all that really counts! It shouldn’t all be just for the competition because I can honestly say that watching the show for 4 days lifted my spirits and provided awesome entertainment! If more celebrities thought of others before themselves the world would be a better place.
God Bless you and your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. Stay safe.
    Love, Tracy
