One Mississippi, Two Mississippi, Three Mississippi
This was the biggest week of the Soul2Soul 2007 tour for me because I had my first main stage opening Friday night in Biloxi. I played three shows in one night. Before I opened on the main stage, I did the MyGiG Infotainment stage, plus Tim McGraw and Faith Hill invited me to play in their pre-show party.
I don't know how the main stage show could have gone any better. OK, there's one thing that's hilarious now that I think about it. This show was my first time to wear ear monitors and Heath, who runs the monitors said, "Do two more songs before 'The Beach,'" and I said “OK.” But it looked like I was saying it to the crowd. Then Heath said, "You don't have to answer me," and I said "All right." The people in the front row must've thought I was crazy, but I was havin' such a good time I didn't even care.
It was nice to get one under my belt in Faith's home state of Mississippi, and I'm sure looking forward to the remaining cities (Las Vegas, Fresno and San Jose) where I'll be working the main stage. Tim asked me when I came off stage if I liked that, and of course I said yes. He then replied, “Get used to it." Everything went better than I could've ever imagined. Thank God for Tim and Faith helpin' a country boy like me live my dreams.

I want to say way to go to Faith in response to her addressing the EXTREMELY tactless and rude fan who groped her husband. You are absolutely right, she (the fan) needs to be taught a lesson on how to act in public and toward others. My husband and I went to your concert in Des Moines (he loved your show and he’s not a country fan), and I remember seeing Tim slap someone’s hand away. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) you have a man that makes women everywhere envy you. You also have men who envy your husband :-). You do have fans behind you.

You sound so humble about being a beginner. I think that’s the right attitude. Some artists act all tough even tho we all know their new. So good for you, Lance. Someday you won’t answer to the guy in your ear, and you’ll be a pro, but always remember the new guy in your heart :)

Lance, You are awesome, buddy! This couldn’t be happening to a nicer guy. Keep living the dream. Perhaps we’ll run into each other around town when you return. I’ve linked the CMT Blog to my site. Thanks for being such a gentleman as to remember meeting me in Orange Beach. I’m not sure I told you, but I saw you were plaing at Puckett’s in Franklin just after that chance meeting in Alabama…but I was a day late and missed the show! Who knows, maybe one day you’ll pass the help along and I’ll get you to cut one of my songs! That’d be ME living MY dream! God Bless you!
You’re doin’ GREAT!

Hi Lance! I am a big fan & was lucky enough to catch your performance outside in Biloxi *AND* get my picture with you! Both performances were GREAT & you will be doing this for a long time to come so I am very glad you enjoyed it! It was the perfect opening for an equally perfect show by Tim & Faith! You & the guys did an awesome job! - Ashley

Hey Lance! I wanted to tell you that my husband and I were at the show in Biloxi. We were also fortunate enough to attend the Pre-Show party. I was standing right in front of you. We really enjoyed your music. Our favorite song of course is The Beach. I think it is pretty cool that we got to see your first big opening. We hope to see you in concert again. Keep it up!!
