Lance Miller on Tim McGraw and New Music
The Soul2Soul 2007 tour has been going great. My role is to play the outdoor My Gig Infotainment Stage. Tim McGraw is not only a great artist but he's an awesome friend. The outdoor stage is something Tim wanted on the tour for artists like me that he believes in. I am honored to be one of the hand-picked artists for this tour. During the Canadian leg of the tour, I saw Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Vancouver for the very first time. The crowds in Canada were the most high-energy I've ever seen.
My new single will be "The Beach" and to get you fans excited if you come out to a show you can get one of my special edition beach balls. Some of the best things on the tour happen behind the scenes. I've enjoyed hanging out with Tim in his dressing room. We pass the guitar and sing some of our old favorites like "Rose Colored Glasses" and anything by Keith Whitley.
The second half of the tour is just getting started and on July 27th I will be the mainstage opening act. That's 10 days but I'm not counting. Be sure to mark your calendar for July 24th. Love the Cd but drinking a hurricane out of a dixie cup is just wrong. We southern people drink them out of a hurricane glass at Pat O’Briens in New Orleans. Well I called there and they are sending me a basket for you it has two glasses and the mix all you need is the rum. They laughed when I told them what it was for ,they say Tim has been there a few times.Now you will never have to drink a hurricane out of a dixie cup haha!!!! See ya in San Diego. The concert you are doing tonight is where I grew up. I have hundreds of family there. They will be thankful. There are still people without homes.
